For combining multiple batteries.



These will handle 12 A continuous current as they stand. If the tab is connected to some heatsinking then continuous currents up to 40 A are possible.

I have some of these available at £15 (+VAT) each.

Ideal Diodes - Connections

New design



The new design uses a TO-220 FET and the tab is used as the cathode connection. That means that heatsinking is easily added if required.
The board is slightly wider and shorter; the terminal pads have been enlarged slightly. These will take yellow crimp ring terminals, which go up to 10 AWG. Anderson Powerpoles can still be fitted neatly.

The boards can still be stacked in layers as shown on the prototypes, but there is now a new possibility of stacking them side by side and bolting to busbars.....
