Impulse 2 or Panasonic hub

Out of interest has anyone compared the impulse 2 on the Kahlkoffe range with the Panasonic hub (eg on the KTM e x p / eracep)? What are your thoughts?

I love the Panasonic Hub drive. Not ridden the Impulse 2 for long enough to compare. The 2015 Panasonic hub come with a larger battery which is great. I ride one and it is one of my favourite systems. I like the fact you can have a front chain ring so there is a bigger gear ratio. Best advice is to try both yourself if possible

I like both. In my opinion the Impulse 2 has more power available for really steep hills and as a crank drive can deliver full assist right down to 3 or 4mph. No hub drive can do this, even the Panasonic. This is particularly important if you live in a hilly area and you are not a lightweight. If you're light, the Panasonic will probably take you up most hills without slowing down that much.
