Recently got this display together with a mid motor and a battery. Everything was installed on Focus Thron 2016. Bought it for cheap and needed for a project.
The seller claimed that the display worked. And my plan was to connect it to a power supply and see it's lighting up. The display has a connector with 4 pins - GND, power and two to CAN bus. It was easy to find out what is what, but after connecting power and pressing on the throttle, nothing happens. The screen is totally black. I disassembled the box and see two LEDs are blinking. I have also verified the presence of starting pulse on corresponding processor's pin when I push the Start button. But no activity from the processor other than the heart beat.
My question is: can it be that the display is missing CAN bus communication with the other equipment and that's the reason, or it is defected? I will highly appreciate if someone shed some light on that.
