Dublin has a huge cycling culture, bikes everywhere....but never saw an ebike during a 4 day visit....just some tourist battery assisted 3 wheel pedal machines......battery just helps the guys get the things moving...then its pedal power.
they also have the bike hire scheme like in london and paris....but again these are regular bikes.....

Cycling has really taken off here with the advent of the cycle to work scheme which gives a good reduction in price up to 1000 euro. Very few electric bikes around as you say. Isnt much to choose from here ethier. Did you happen to pop in and try the pro connect when you were here?

hi, no did not come across any bike shops, was doing the tourist thing...you know ...walk five minutes...have a guinness, walk another five minutes...check the guinness was still ok......go to the guinness storehouse.....make sure they were brewing enough guinness......
eat some irish stew with bread flavoured with guinness......

repeat step one etc........carry on till money runs out.....(not very long)...its become an expensive city for a tourist.........
