I'm watching E-Bay to see what turns up.

I don't have a specific requirement other than it must be a folder. I've noticed a couple of BLiSS units recently, but it looks like the company is no longer, so do I need to avoid them as there are no parts available ?

Recommendations for other makes of folder, electric or old fashioned pedal versions?

Hi Gordon_M,

I have a Raleigh Boardwalk fitted with a SRAM Sparc unit for sale. All in good working order & nearly new battery. It will be advertised on ebay next week, but if you're interested, please let me know through private messages.

Someone can still outbid me - are they THAT bad?

ive had a few electric folders so read up befor buying...still bought a couple that didnt fit the bill mind..."try befor buy" is a definate ... the things i read about the bliss was on the lines that they where no longer made, even gave the impression it was 2 years ago they stopped making them so i figured all the ones for sale must have been the last lot waiting to be sold, had no idea where a new battery could be sourced as they look different shape to most...read no reviews from any owners of them,if they where two years old had the battery deteriated in that time ?...these are just the findings that i personally found so wait till the "real" knowledgable bikers on here give you info befor you panic...but if it was me i would be reading e bay rules as to how i could retract my bid. ..only my opinion though...
personaly the best folder in my opinion is the Quando...horses for course though

The Bliss folder was one of the lowest powered e-bikes of all. I hope you are light and don't have steep hills. :)

Ah well

Maybe I'll just have it stuffed and mounted, or hung on a wall ...

I stuck in what I thought was a decent bid, and it is still not too high, so I think I'm OK as long as there isn't a bidding frenzy at the last minute that stops before it reaches my top bid. :D

I can fix electrical and mechanical stuff, might get floored by electronics, and I can always come here and ask for help about getting round any battery issues.

sigh

I've got an old Quando Mk1 with NiMh battery. I'm a something of a shorthouse so it's a bit big for me, I've come off it a couple of times. It's an old one - twist and go only - no pedelec. If anyone is interested ..... make me an offer. I'm in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

BLiSS went for £180 ....

.... fortunately much more than I bid on it, according to the seller that's around half what he paid for it two years ago.

I've decided to experiment with a couple of 'ordinary' folders I bought last week, but will keep an eye out and may well return to an assisted unit in the not too distant.

Thanks for the advice and offers.
