I have had 2 tubes split on me in 3 days, on the inside near the seam, one on the front the other the rear the tyres haven't been off i ages, so the only thing that is the same is the recent temperature, anyone else had this happen, an what is the best make to use.I was wondering if the hot weather was effecting the tubes.

As it happens got some new puncture resistant tyres coming tomorrow so good chance to replace tubes.

Thanks

Some makers offer light and heavier weight tubes.

The heavier ones ought to be more durable, and on an ebike there's no need to worry about the extra few grammes.

Only ever had that happen once - when I left my hardtail next to the radiator after a long ride in freezing conditions. 30ims later - bang! Inner tube pressure rose to breaking point with heat

That was quite an extreme temperature difference mind

Still if you are running tyres at very high pressure then the heat could do it I guess

More likey the issue is with the tyres and your replacements will solve it.

I just go with branded tubes with a half decent reputation on the interweb.

Thanks for reply's, just come back from shop got some continentals inner tubes, just a few quid more, so will give them a shot, best of it was yesterday, I was sitting on a wall having a drink, having been on bike, it must of been standing there 20 mins, people walking past the bike when it suddenly popped. LOL
They just looked at me as though it was going to explode.

Going to carry spare tube now, because its just to much hassle trying to repair them on site.

Always fumble the damn tube just as I've smeared it with rubber solution & it gets covered with grit & dead fly - Works every time!

Sounds about right.! :)

Though one thing did stand out yesterday, every cyclist who past me whilst my bike was it bits asked if they could help in anyway. Fair play.
