Hi all

Have a quick question.

I have just bought a pair of Marathon Plus tyres size 26 x 1.50 from ebay. I have also bought (from a different seller) 2 slime inner tubes which were supposed to be 26 X 1.5 - 2.125 but i was sent 26 x 1.75 to 2.225.

I have emailed to seller and told him, he said that they should still fit but i could send them back if i want.

Do you think these would be ok or should i send them back? Trouble with sending them back is the delivery costs so i'll be out of pocket.

Your thoughts would be great?

Cheers
Lee

The tubes are slightly over sized but I wouldn't worry to much there hardly that much over.
It shouldn't cause a problem.

If I was you I'd contact the seller to get a couple of quid off instead of replacing the tubes or sending them back.

I recently fitted a 26" inner tube in a friend's 27.5" (700C) tyre and he did the whole of the Coast 2 Coast ride on it. It's not ideal, but it won't cause you a problem. I'd agree with chasing the partial refund.

I slightly differ on this, I think the tubes are too large, though they will probably survive.

The very thick under tread layer on MP tyres leaves less than usual space for a tube so a size down is as suitable as the nominally correct size, and the smaller option is what I've always used with these tyres.

Thanks all.

Maybe i'll keep these to use with my off road tyres and buy some more for my MP's.
