It really is an irony that the flatter the territory, the better e-bikes sell. We even see that here in the UK, the hilliest areas suffering the worst sales!

I can only think that's due to the hilly areas putting people off the idea of any cycling in the first place.

this doesn't surprise me - I think it also has a lot to do with the Dutch practice of carrying a lot of cargo on bikes as well.

last night I was reading the website of a Dutch chap who collects radio equipment including both domestic and professional/military valve radios, most of them he brought back on the carrier of his bicycle, others in a trailer! I expect a fair few of you on here grew up with this sort of equipment and are well aware of how heavy these things are :D

on one occasion he brought back a ships' radiotelephone on the rear carrier, I expect any local youths who saw him might have joked how the old guy really should upgrade his mobile phone.. :D
