is it possible to retrofit a throttle/thumb throttle to a cenre drive bike?

even though I cycle without use of throttle on our present 2 bikes. Because of health reasons, in the next 12 months or so I may need assistance. I would prefer to stick with crank drive but may have to change back to a throttle bike if I cant find one that can be adapted..

This full carbon E Lom 29'er with MPF drive and 12 Ah battery that Cakey mentioned, really appeals...

The throttle kit is a Pro Connect thing - doesn't work with the Impulse range.

While you could probably fit a throttle to the handlebar it is unlikely that you could connect either to a Bosch or MFI unit. Alternatively you could buy one of these which I think you would like. Fit a slightly bigger battery and do a minor mod to the controller and it will run faster and climb better than any Bosch - these are only little electric motors and gear units after all, fancy branding does not change the laws of physics.

Thanks Mike, and hech, was hoping no one would mention that thing....I would never be seen dead on one (howevere likely that may be!lol) I like e cycling and the technology of e cycling to much, but if your crankdrive bikes can have one I dont understand why others cant to be honest......

Thanks but they are not very refined systems are they? Would prefer a quality lightweight bike..not opposed to a kit as more then happy with one I currently have, but some cracking centre drive bikes beginning to appear . Problem being as all German or Austrian they don't have throttles
