Is Specialized dumping the hub drive Turbo models?

In the USA, I noticed the hub drive models have been moved to the "archive" section of their website. Only the Levo models remain. Is Specialized dropping this line from their e-bike offerings? Do you see the same in the UK?

My wife and I were ready to buy after extensive test rides on many many makes and models. But now, we're not sure what to do. If they'll be closing them out, maybe we wait for bargains to be had?

Investigating the UK web site seems to show similar. Clicking on hub motor models where they appear seems to either lead nowhere or to the crank motor models.

I really like the look of the road bikes. I guess this isn't a good time to buy shares in GoSwiss Drive... Lovely motors, great interface but limited to use in mountainous areas.

Why just mountainous areas?

Because regenerative braking is a great brake pad saver and helps prevent brake fade on steep and long downhill runs. And you don't feel the direct drive motor drag so much you are either using it to climb or not using it.

didn't realise it has regen braking I thought the Brose engine disconnected upon free wheeling or so their website says.

No the hub motor in the Specialized bikes was a GoSwiss Drive, that is the one I was talking about.

My fault I should have started a new paragraph, let's try again:

EDIT

I really like the look of the new road bikes.

Especially when it is deformed by other factors:

- I have been using French daily for the last 39 years
- I am busy learning yet another language (Spanish) and the people around me also use Basque which is "interesting" to say the least, best taught by a mother I think.
- like D8ve I am dyslexic. Auto-correct saves spelling but doesn't tidy up thought patterns...
