Is there an UK National Electric Bike day?

If not, why not? ;oP

To change people's perceptions.

Be great to pick the nearest weekend and have two events - a north and south ride/parade.

Just a thought.

No, the nearest we ever had was the national rally at Presteigne that ran for about four years but hasn't been run for the last couple. It seems that was mainly due to organisational time not being available for the usual organiser and the difficult location for many.

We'd need a summer though!

Hi again Penny :)

Hope you are keeping well.

I seem to remember you are somewhere in the south east....how about catching up with all the new bikes and test rides at Redbridge on April 7th ?

Mind you....I know nothing would prise you away from your Gepida

I'd definitely be up for a Dartmoor meet, but not sure about August: I'd personally prefer spring or autumn.

Any thoughts as to where, on the moor, to hold it? The National Park bods can be very posessive.

I think its fair to say that Atmosphere's Bristol event is the South Wests event of the year.

Kudos' Redbridge event looks like being the South Easts event of the year.

There seem to be quite a few being organised in the Midlands throughout the year, but I honestly think someone needs to think seriously about organising a North East bike event of the year.......tagged onto something else maybe like Bristol with the Green Fair ?

There's a huge population and a growing interest , all you need is a great venue, plenty publicity and it will be well supported.
It always amazes me when I go up home just how much disposable income is still floating around up there.......

So....who would be interested in organising it ? StorrkRad perhaps ?

Tell you what.......HATTI with Woosh, I know its a long way hatti but I think it would be well worth it for Woosh to organise a big demo event......just a little bit of a pity its soooooo far away.....it's just a thought....
And where ??......a suitable venue in or near Newcastle would be the logical place......what else is going on up there where it would fit in ?

How many of the main players would make the trek up ?
There would have to be quite a lot to give a fair representation of the different makes.

So....can anyone suggest a good venue/event/organiser first of all ??

Lynda :)
