The Yamaha system isn't very common among ebikes as far as I know but the few reviews I have read suggest it has quite a nice motor. At least one member of the forum owns a Gepida model and has praised it.

The attached link leads to a large-framed gents model on ebay which has attracted quite a few bids with nearly a week left of the auction and is located round N Yorkshire should anyone be interested in having a punt.

Basically a copy of the Panasonic system but without the smooth power phase down. The criticism from some reviewers is the the cut-off at 15 mph is somewhat abrupt and makes riding at that speed uncomfortable due to the power cutting in and out. So best to ride at 14 mph or below or above power assist speed.

They haven't caught on in the way the Panasonic powered bikes have and Hungarian Gepida are the only bike manufacturer outside of Yamaha themselves to use the power unit.
