I have an Izip bike now with lead-acid batteries "cb26" type.

1. Is it possible to upgrade to a Lithium battery? I have to charge my bike overnight, every night now. The lead-acid batteries less than a year old.

2. I have prostate cancer with complications, and pedalling is quite painful. I need a throttle or a button so that I don't need to pedal (I just stand up the whole time). This bike has a throttle but my tennis elbow is bad now. Is there a way to replace the twist-throttle with a simple button?

Two lead acid batteries give 24 volt, three give 36 volt.
In series that is.

I took the battery off the bike (well, my son did LOL)

It has two big 12v batteries in it.

I cannot tell if the motor is brushless or not. See pic.

Hi Donelson, voltage maybe marked on the battery or motor.
If not you need to check the voltage on the battery after a charge and with the motor if it has 2 wire it is a brushed motor if 3 or more a brushless motor.

It's a 24 volt system, motor. Type TBC.

There are only two wires going into the motor, so I guess that means 24v motor not brushless.

Is it possible to find a Lithium battery to match the bike?
