Hi all
I have about £700 to spend on an e bike. I used to have a power cycle sailsbury but now want something larger, of better quality and greater range but on a limited budget.
I had thought of buying a used kalkhoff but I am terrified by the poor reputation of the impulse motors and costly motor replacements. In my mind the brand reputation is tarnished beyond repair.
Any experiences to allay my fears since they always used to be good. Or, is there a cheap fix?

Hi welcome
From what I have read on here the impulse motor is definitely one to avoid
I would look elsewhere

thanks your input
The earlier Kalkhoff with Panasonic motor is well regarded. If you can find a well cared for example for little money you might be able to get a new battery and the bike for about £700. Assuming bike to be £200.

Wisper 705 in the classified section looks like a good deal with a bit of negotiation.
