Hi,just got a KT 1500w controller, the walk mode works but the throttle and PAS dont. here is the wiring. the first pic are the wires frm the controller. the second is the wire from the throttle and the last is from the pas sensor. i connect the throttle red black blue to the controllers red black blue but nothing. I have also configured the lcd3 for the throttle to work without Pedalling.

From the pics the wire sequence don't match and not necessarily matching colours.
For throttle, controller is 5v/Red, Gnd/Black & Sig/Blue, for the throttle wires you have to swap the colours at the connector so that they in this case go to each other 5v/Red has to connect with 5v/Red as does Gnd/Black etc.

For PAS, controller is 5v/Brown, Gnd/Black & Sig/Yellow, again you need to change the PAS connector colours around. 5v/Red, Gnd/Black & Sig/Green.

If careful a needle/pin can be used to tease the barb to release the pins so you can re- insert them in the correct sequence /order.

The other Red, White & Black is for speed sensor one can add a spoke magnet and sensor to the stay if you want correct speed reading all the time.

If you have issues and can't get the pins out simply chop them off and solder direct and insulate.

Alright so thr colours on the throttle must match? For the pedal sensor red with brown, black with black and green with yellow?

You'll save a lot of time by cutting off the connectors and soldering the wires, but if you want to swap the pins, do it on the male connector. Use a sharp point to depress the barb. Push the wire in a bit first, while pushing on the wire, press down on the barb, then pull on the wire to get the terminal out.

Yes that is correct.

Sm connectors on the controller side from KT tend to be wired the same in most cases, the add on peripheral's may not be so and often if they are sourced from a different supplier then one has to know which wire colour is 5v,Gnd & Sig.

If one for instance were to buy the controller kit from PSWpower, BMS battery, TBK or GBK then one would be buying a plug and play set up. Other sellers mess about with using kit from wherever and some use different connectors as well.

With wire colours Red or Brown is normally 5v, If both are used then Red is dominant.
Black or Yellow are commonly used for Gnd, again Black is the dominant one if both colours are used.
Once one knows the 5v and Gnd the third colour is always then the Signal which can be any other colour and not the same.

thanks alot. one more thing, the ebike kit came with a throttle that has a button and screen built in, can I also use that on this kt controller and which colours go with which? ikno the other green yellow grey is for the screen so dont need it.20210116_015718.jpg

The KT's are only for three wire throttle the twist one you have with lcd is just a voltage display, the lcd3 displays voltage and power (watts) and other parameters. The seller has supplied parts that aren't needed, leave the other three disconnected.

Red (5v) white (signal)and blue (ground) are the throttle. If they've used conventional colouring, green is battery voltage for the display, yellow and brown are the switch, which you can use for anything. White is for some other function, like speed if it displays speed. you'd have to show the throttle to say what it is.

this is throttle that came with the wheel kit its wires are the one i posted earlier on the red white blue. iv managed to swap the wires on the KT throttle wire and the PAS so they match. now everything is working. note: the wheel kit came with a different controller that doesnt support an lcd so i had to get a KT

The KT controller will be much better than the crappy one that came with the motor as long as you fit a pedal sensor.

Yeaa the pedal sensor all done and fitted, really like how i can control the braking intensity, the original controller was so aggressive with no way to change it, the lcd3 is amazing

I thought it strange that you had the 6 wire throttle/lcd option with a KT controller, in #1 it wasn't made clear that the controller was an additional item.
