I am about to buy a Kudos Arriba bike, I tested it at Redbridge and thought it ideal for my use.
I remember somebody saying in past postings it is possible to 'hack' into either the king meter display or controller to get rid of the 15mph cut off. 20mph would be ok, but 15mph is my normal riding speed.

Is it easy to change the cut off speed?

Most bikes like that are restricted by either a wire loop on the controller that you can cut/disconnect, or by software in the meter. You have to get into the meter settings, which is normally by pressing and holding a combination of buttons - sometimes the up and down buttons, sometimes the mode button, and sometimes the power button. You'l have to experiment, or perhaps someone has the exact answer.

Some bikes are restricted by the motor speed, in which case the only way to increase speed is with a higher voltage battery. Sometimes you can get a bit more speed by changing the controller to one with a three-speed switch connector, but it only seems to work if you have a sensored motor.
