Three months and I've just passed the 1,000 miles. The majority of this is on my 20 mile commute.
I purchased the bike from Atmosphere Bikes in Bristol, and they provided excellent service, replacing a defective chain shortly after I purchased, and then a free service a month later where they adjusted and lubricated as appropriate.
I made a few minor mods, buying a more comfortable saddle, and some slick tyres in place of the knobbly style (although as I've stated previously the originals were actually OK, and I will revert back to them when the slicks are worn out).
The only problems I had in addition to the chain, have been the pedals (one of which started clicking), so I replaced these with moutain bike style platforms which provide much more grip, and the instrument panel which during heavy rain lets in some moisture (Kudos are sending me a replacement under warranty).
I have been really pleased with the bike, it looks and rides like a normal bike, but with that extra push up the hills. The best thing about the assistance is that it doesn't have a sharp cut off at 15.5mph, it disappears gradually, so with some effort it's easy to maintain 17/18mph on the flat. It appears to have lots of good quality components, and the frames itself looks well made.
The battery life is good, I charge every day after 21 miles, but the indicator is still showing 4 out of 5 lights at this stage. When I have let it run flat I've gotten just over 40 miles.
So in conclusion if your budget is less than £1,000 and you want an electric bike that looks like a normal bike, I can recommend it.
cheers,
Alan
