I've been thinking of a cytronex kit off and on for quite a while now, and I know they have plans for new kit early next year. What I like about cytronex is it's lightness and stealthiness, but what I find disappointing is the limited range, because I like to do a bit of touring, so I was just wondering what would be the lightest kit about that would give a better range than the cytronex?

The main reason that the old Cytronex kit was light and stealthy is because it had a small battery If you want more range, the battery is going to be biger and heavier. The Cute motor sold by BMSbattery is more or less the same as the Cytronex one in size and weight, so you only have to buy their kit and you have it. If you're serious about light weight, you can use lipos.
Regarding stealthiness, I have a big motor and a 20aH batery, but nobody notices it's an electric bike until I point it out. The main thing is that it's quiet.
If you want the ultimate in light weight, you need a Kepler drive. I know someone makes them in kit form but not sure where. Do a search on the Endless-sphere forum. They're not very quiet.
