They are out in red, sort of, when you fit a Smart CoverYeh yeh....let me know when they bring it out in RED and when you can expand the memory

The memory really isn't a problem. I have a 32 GB iPad and wish I'd saved a bit of money and bought the 16GB version. After nearly 2 years I have only used 4GB and that goes up and down, peaking at 4GB. Services such as iCloud, Dropbox and photo stream take care of all your storage. That's the whole point of owning a highly portable device. If you have a cellular data enabled model, then wherever you have a phone signal, you have all your data to hand. If you know you are going to be out of range of a phone signal, you can temporarily store information in some of the 16 / 32 or 64GB of memory.
The other, major advantage with a tablet is the boot up time, or the non-existence of boot up time to be precise. The instantaneousness of tablets is where they really win. They are highly practical to use as well, my iPad serving 70% of my computer needs, the more expensive iMac being relegated to 30%
I don't know what Android / Clagnut based operating systems are like, I chose to go the Mac route. Rival operating systems (except Windows) may be better or worse, I simply don't know. Apple can be a bit restrictive at times, but I find that this ensures a greater incidence of compatibility between devices, software and hardware which ultimately means no frustrating lock-ups, crashes, endless security updates, anti-virus software, system gradually slowing down and other associated misery. Well worth the slight restriction for me. I will never ever go back to Windows.
Ps. I chose the Smart Cover in a delicate shade of pink. It matches the pants and suspended belt which I sometimes wear under my day to day clothing.
