Hi. I could use a little technical assistance today regarding a melting switch problem Ive had awhile. I have been using an autospares type spst 12vdc switch rated for 20amps inline between battery and controller. Trouble is that the bike runs at 48v and up to 25amps which is clearly too much for the switch. This is the second one to self destruct in the last few months. My controller does not have the low current(thin red wire) off circuit most have. Does anyone have any advice as to what I should be using for a high current circuit?
thanks hech.

Jeremy's schematic. You can buy counterfeit 4110s on Ebay for not too much, or maybe nick the FETs out of an old controller:

Thankyou gentlemen I am much obliged for your helpful advice as always.
D8veh I dont know why you assume I would steal or buy counterfeit mosfets but in this instance you are quite probably right.
Moral - Do you even know how many hard earned mosfets you own and are they insured against the ruthless, fetless ebike villains?
