just a couple of questions would the i zip mezza enlightened be a more powerful bike then the ezee quando. And also would the izip via rapido still be a good on hills with a 24v battery and is the curry motor noisy. regards Nigel.:D

if its 36 volt like the Quando how can it be more powerful,i am of course not knowledgeable in this area so sure there is a simple explanation,i dont think for a second the way the Quando folds and stays in an upright and stable position can be beaten, and i for one are looking forward very much to the return of my beloved Quando which i sold to someone who at the time had an "actual" need in her hilly and remote area for the power, strength and reliability of the Quando...circumstances changed and she only used it twice and wants me to have it back free as knows it will help me potter about more easy and efficiently while looking after my g/f.....even though is no longer 43 miles away from me but now next door... ...im very much on tenderhooks as there is a good chance in the time she had it which is maybe 7 months that she may have not kept on top of the battery....so although it may be free it may also cost me £400 for another battery...... however im sure this new one with its 7 speed gears will be a great improvement in that area and hope it can speed past the 15mph mark while pedal assisting as its a waste of space pedaling less then the 15mph that power alone gives you...i would love to have had Flecc's gearing job done on my Quando also...

The Izip's wheel hub motor has been previously been used in a full size bike with twin pannier batteries, and it is a little less powerful than the 8fun motor/controller combination fitted to the eZee Quando. However that's offset by the Izip e-folder being a lot lighter and it having it's range of gears. These make it together with the rider much more capable than the Quando on the steepest hills.

Like nearly all small wheel bikes though, it's low geared with it's top gear at about 76", meaning a high pedal spin speed at 15 mph. Certainly not as bad in this respect as the single speed Quando with it's under 70" top gear though. Normal full size bikes generally have their top gear in the high 80" to low 90" region, and my Q bike for example has a 92" top gear. On a small wheel bike this is only possible with one of these options, a huge chainwheel like mine, a tiny fast wearing top gear rear sprocket, or a very expensive wide range gearing system like the Rohloff gearhub adding around £600 to the bike price.
