I am pleased to see that some suppliers are now offering a good choice of electric bikes for sale, previously the only option was to visit the tour de presteigne to try out a selection of bikes, sold by exclusive dealers,at last there are some shops selling a good range of brands all year round,i wish them every success and hope that a little competition will help bring the costs of electric biking down and the choice up.

I fully agree, firms like Onbike, e-bikes direct and others are a very welcome addition to our market, making choice for consumers very much easier.

I just as strongly welcome the way some makers and importers are rapidly developing their dealer chains and selling through them, Wisper and Gepida notable in this respect. I've particularly mentioned Gepida UK since they have only just started up but already have this growing dealer network, showing what can be achieved with the right effort.

Glad to see more dealers arriving, but I would like to see a few more dealers in Suffolk/North Essex (unless there are some and they are being shy!) -

Although ETS is in Cambridge and I bought my Salisbury from them its still a long way away to return a bike for service (especially if you don't have a car and look upon an e-bike as a car replacement) - they have reduced their shop opening hours recently without much explanation, and there do seem to still be a fair few teething problems with new bikes... most are minor but the reassurance that someone at the dealer will pick up the telephone, take ownership of the problem and have it sorted within days rather than weeks is what I seek....

I know its an expensive business but even so some areas like the Midlands and SE England seem to have an abundance of competing e-bike dealers and there is still enough business for everybody so it seems.

Yes the cheeky sods simply hit all our dealers! I still love them though as they sell lots of Wispers!!! :D

All the best David
Oh well, all's fair in love and war as the saying goes David. :)

Different market fortunately, the Yamaha unit complementary rather than direct competition.

I know you do have a few moderate hills, but in the generally easy going territory of the Eastern Counties the need for e-bikes may seem less apparent, so the possible demand may not occur to entrepreneurs in the way it might in the hilliest or highest population areas.

The need is there though, I know e-bikes are quite popular in many Eastern areas.

Yes Flecc, of course I am delighted that they are out there helping to bring the electric bike into the mainstream. The more (good ones) the merrier.

All the best David
