Mudguards for MTBs & Full-sus

Why didn't they extend the rear one down to the nottom bracket? The front one seems a bit short too. I'll stick with the SKS Beavertail XLs. They're only £13 a pair and they fit on full-susp bikes and also to forks with no bolt hole.

I've got an SKS Beavertail on the rear. My missus always sniggers when she sees the logo on it :D

Aldi have cheap and functional MTB mudguards available now..........if you are quick!
My local store had a stack of them and they are now discounted down to only £5.99 a set.
You can't see them on the website any longer, but this is what they look like fitted to one of our demo bikes.
Better than mud in your eye;)

Any chance you have a picture of yours fitted on a bike please, cant seem to find one on net.

Thanks

If you look in my profile pictures, both Giants have them, also the Emate Turbo, and the Diamondback has the ordinary Beavertails (not XL), which they often send you when you order XLs. They're a little more stylish than the XLs, but otherwise similar.

Cyclezee, that bike is far to clean. I might have to take one of your bikes out for a demo on the mud sometime. If I was looking for an MTB e-bike again, without question I'd opt for mid drive, purely for the fact that rear wheel removal is far less hassle. This wasn't something that I had considered when buying the Xtrem but certainly is now, especially when the bike is caked with mud and it's pouring down with rain.

As Dave has said, I don't know why the rear guards don't go down to the bottom bracket. I find this annoying so just modded a 4" paint tray and fitted that.

The front guard is a Topeak.

Previously fitted low front guard. The raised guard actually does a far better job.

This one was also very clean until yesterday when I ran through wet cement that someone had dumped in a street......managed to keep going before it set and then.......I washed it:eek:
