Because it is so wide the world of pedelecs, i will try to test them and find out which is the best for my money + needs + fitness goals etc.

But now i have following ideas:
- i can take an old bike and put a suzhou Bafang Motor on it.

Any experience with this?

- As i owned a cheap bike with suzhou Bafang (gave it back, too much problems for 500 euros for me), i still have spare parts of it (service gave me this parts but it didnt help):

i have:
- a 36 V led battery + charger
- a controller for the suzhou Bafang Motor
- a "gas throttle(?)" i hope it is the right endlisch word for what is in your hand to give more speed

well the bike was with 26 tires

-Now where to buy the Suzhou Bafang Motor?
- Do you know where i can buy it?

i will then need a hall sensor for the bike (or for the input on the controller) + a brake

at the end i will have a cheap solution and understand more about this pedelec world?

Throttle is correct, but twistgrip is sometimes said as well.

The motor has it's own Hall sensors, coupling via five of it's eight leads to the controller, the remaining three leads being for the phase currents.

It's easier to use a proper e-bike throttle than attempt to convert a motorcycle one, but if you insist on the latter, you should be able to get a Hall sensor without difficulty from an electronics component supplier. With a converted throttle, it's easier to use two small magnets, one at each end of the twist arc with identical inner poles, since sourcing a curved magnet would be difficult. Either method works equally well, both being in production throttles.

I don't know of a retail source for the Suzhou Bafang motor currently.

I don't know where to buy a Suzhou too, but if you are thinking at a cheap kit there is a German eBay seller who has the nine continent, that is quite good value for money (it is the same as the "phantom" sold by Velectris in France): in Italy we have good experiences with it. It is important to check the forks' size though. Here is a page with tutorial and test: it is in Italian, but with pictures.

Nine continents is not a bad idea. It's a good price for what looks like a nice kit. Thanks for pointing it out, Leonardo

If you want a Suzhou Bafang motor then send them an email
Let us know what they say!

Alternatively I have a hunch that this UK seller is using this motor

The other way to get one is the ezee kit on ebikes.ca - which would be more expensive.
