I usually approach things with a hammer and drift but thought, for once, I would do it properly !
I made a tool for this as I couldn't find one anywhere and didn't want to destroy the cup whilst taking it out.Having received my replacement frame I am now starting to swop the pieces over from the old bike.
I am just removing the bottom bracket from the old frame but am not sure what tool to use to remove the drive side bearing, the fitting is :

Ah - thats ok, I think it's self tightening (i.e. it is threaded in the direction of normal crank rotation). Just screw it in hand tight and give it a few taps with a drift...It's no getting the old one off, its more not b*ggering the new one up with a drift![]()
Hi David,Hi Zombie, have you managed to shift it yet?
Best regards
David
Are they retro fit-able to the 905 SE?Great news, love the tool!
As a matter of interest we are now using sealed bearings on all our bikes bar the SELs and Alpinos where we are now using hollow tech main bearings, very easy!
All the best
David
