It is still cheaper to buy a conversion kit in the first place than a complete electric bike and take the bits off to make another one EddieMakes sense, you end up with much nicer to ride, lighter bike.....and have saved yourself the cost of an expensive kit!
Don't understand what you mean Paul, it's glorious sunshine....ah no, wait a minute, you are right it is raining, ah no, wait another minute it's glorious sunshine againjust wish it would stop raining so i can get out on it more.
The torq was purchased in 2008 second hand and i had been running it at 48v,it was good but had a couple of niggles,i was never happy with the high gearing,i did not like the rear roller brake, and it was a bit heavy, i had been looking at replacing it with another reasonable priced bike,i wanted a shorter wheelbase,a battery mounted in the frame, triple chainwheel and lighter weight, everything i looked at had less power and was very expensive,so i thought the best option was to try and improve on what i already had.certainly there was no cheaper option available,It is still cheaper to buy a conversion kit in the first place than a complete electric bike and take the bits off to make another one Eddie![]()
