The best news is the claim of 100% air pressure retention of inner tubes made with this, less routine pumping.

I don't think rubbers make much difference to being punctured, especially in wet conditions. The most effective protections come from other layers such as kevlar, plus the overall thickness between tread and tube. Local authorities carrying out adequate street sweeping makes a big difference too, and a national ban on glass beer bottles would help in many areas.
