This Dapu motor looks small, will it have as much torque/grunt as the standard BS model on current wispers? I was hoping for a bit more power.

will bike have mudguards and a rear rack as well?

would I be better of ordering the larger framed/wheeled bike. But I guess this will not be carbon framed etc...but has the same dapu motor and hub gear box.

Hi Eddie

I have asked for the power graphs to be sent over so you can have a look but the motors are very similar.

The bike does have full mudguards and rear rack, but you are correct in thinking that the Alpino's do not have all the goodies that are on the 906xc Tourer. They are simply a larger wheeled and framed version of the 905 with hub gears and front Dapush motor.

Sorry....but as your are the only one we know who has ridden the 906

The 905 is rear heavy, but front is light and it handles OK. Does the 906 feel better balanced? And the motor pulling you rather then pushing you.....how does this feel? Do you think it handles/rides better then a stock 905?

I think the balance on the 906 is very good, but you really need to ride it first as Douglas still prefers the 905, it's a matter of personal taste!

I do indeed, it's a 2008 model 905se, bought in Feb (2009), at the moment it has the APSE levers.
