I am about to order a new ebike to take over from my July 2008 Pro Connect.

I like the look of the New 2011 Kalkhoff Pro Connect Disc C8 but I am a bit concerned about having hydraulic brakes.

Is there much maintenance to these?

I guess they will be better for the wheel rims as they will not be subject to wear!

Also I use a 16 tooth rear sprocket. Will I be able to fit one on the new bike as the chain arrangement looks different?

Your comments and advice would be greatly appreciated.

This bike is surely the standout in the 2011 Kalkhoff range. Good components and large battery for the price I paid 2 years ago for my Pro Connect S.

Most cyclists I know like Disc brakes and there's no rim wear to worry about.

I would guess that the present sprocket swaps are possible but best to check with 50Cycles.
