Hi,
Apologies for not introducing myself sooner. As a complete and utter electric Bike novice, I signed up to this forum with great anxiety and trepidation. Having searched on the web and scanned through the forum, I soon realised that the world of electric bikes is a lot more complicated than simply plugging in your two wheeler the night before and whizzing off to work the next day. But in a matter of minutes of posting a question, I received invaluable advice from a number of expert seniors, (thanks Flecc and all the others who have already provided a little bit of clarity), thus making me feel no longer like the new boy on his first day at school.
So, let me give you a bit of my story. After years of struggling with the most unreliable and expensive bus service in the country, I have decided to stop lining shareholders pockets and in a reckless semi-act of protest decided to purchase an electric bike to make my daily pilgrimage to my place of work a great deal less stressful(hopefully). However, following my stroppy letter to the CEO of the bus company in question, I am now left with a dilemma..How do I conquer the twin peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro (two great hilly objects) that stand between me, contemplating departure from the safety and comfort of my warm house, and the base camp of my desk at work. Consequently, I need an electric bike that can cope with the gradients of Bath and help my weak puny Scottish legs make it to work and back each day. The first step( or cycle?) then is to identify and purchase the best bike fit for the job. The second step is to get up to speed (so to speak) with all the technical info that I need to make informed decisions about being a member of this very well-educated and informed club of Elec-Bike fanatics.
Thanks again
