got my new chainring.new motor sprocket. new chain and new rear wheel sprocket.fitted them all and went for a test run.i can feel and hear the chain jumping the sprocket possibly at the motor drive maybe due to the tensioner moving .not sure only does it when going uphill when pressing hard on the pedals.i cant figure it out.i remember replacing the chain once before when the sprockets were fairly worn and it made the jumping worse so i put the old chain back on.this time however everything is new.i can feel the motor drive trying to move the chain but then something causes the chain to jump anyone else experienced this.im an engineer to trade and cant believe its not working.i will have another look tomorrow.

Is it the right chain Subevo? The Lafree Panasonic unit has to have a 1/8" chain, and if you've fitted a 3/16" derailleur chain it will ride on it's
shoulders and jump the sprockets.

The chain measurement is the roller width between the side plates.

ok its sorted now.turned out to be the chain tension.i removed another link and tensioned the chain up until the spring loaded tensioner was almost fully back.maybe the spring is now weaker than it used to be.anyway thanks for your help.

Pleasure Subevo. In fact the "chain tensioner" isn't that, it's function is as a chain wrapper for the motor sprocket, it's geometry not quite right for tensioning. That's why it's setting by chain length is so critical, only one position really giving the ideal wrap that avoids jumping.
