Hi, I'm a retired engineer and spend my time in a campervan in Spain in the winter and mainly France in the summer. My wife and I actually live in Cornwall for a few weeks in the year for mot's doctors ,dentist's and pills. We use our bikes for shopping while we are camping and easier than using the van.Unfortunately I had parked my bike next to a river about a month ago and a very strong gust of wind blew it over and it ended having a ducking-right under. Anyway we managed to recover it and I took it all apart and dried it out .It was a Schwinn Tailwind.I had another 24 volt 2 amp charger so I bypassed the dead protection circuit and charged the Toshiba battery .To my surprise the bike still worked and has been until yesterday. Now the motor does one kick and that is all. From my searching on the net it would appear the controller is now faulty. Has anyone any idea where to obtain spares or what would be the best replacements? Battery and controller or even a complete diy kit

Hi, does your controller have the self-study wires? when fitting a new controller to mine initially all I got was a kick from the motor. Connecting the self study wires together made the wheel spin backward and stop then forward, when moving forward for a while I disconnected the pair of white wires and it worked via other throttle as expected.
Maybe worth a try.
