I'm very happy with my yose built bike. But now thinking I may do another, I would like a low step through bike but with 26 or above wheels been looking at bikes but most of them i see are woman's bikes I don't suppose that really matters I'm not that bothered about it, but it will be a yose build again so any recommendations on make model ect, I don't want a rear rack battery so it needs to be on the frame but most bikes I have seen the cross bar has a slight bend so would it still be possible to attach the battery ??

If the curve isn't too deep, perhaps use a contour ruler and form a wooden piece to flatten the curve, bolt the battery mount through?

There are loads of ready-made ones on Amazon and Ebay for around £500 to £600, which will probably work out cheaper and easier than finding a bike and converting it.

You can buy Eskutes in UK. Their website doesn't seem to work just now, so I can't get a link. Cheaper on Aliexpress, anyway:

Many thanks for the replies but I would rather build my own than buy a ready made one, then I can build it my way knowing it's been done right------I hope.

I've seen Cannondale adventures converted with a battery on the down tube

Not many about though

Loads of Carrera crossfire but I don't know where you would put the battery if not rear rack

It's the same stuff. There's nothing to stop you removing it all with tools, then putting it back on again if you want to check it out and know what the bits are.
