Hi everyone,

I’m just getting into the world of e-bikes and wanted to say hello! I’ve always loved cycling but found hills and long commutes a bit of a barrier. Recently, I discovered KirbEbike, which offers electric conversion kits – and it’s been a game-changer for me. I converted my old hybrid and it feels like a new lease of life on two wheels.

Looking forward to learning more here, getting tips, and maybe even meeting a few folks for group rides. If anyone else has gone the DIY e-bike route, I’d love to hear how it's worked out for you!

Cheers,
Jason

feel free to share some details and pics of your bike/build, diy/conversions are probably in the majority in here.
Hope you avoided the emoped kits prominent on the kibebike site i landed on?
If more power or off rd speed is needed than a generic 250w kit can provide there are ways within the regs to satisfy almost any need, after all no limits on amps are there??

It doesn't look as if any of their kits are road legal, as even the 250w ones have assist speeds over 25km/h.
They are very quiet on what controller they have (and the 'MORE INFO & BUYING OPTIONS' doesn't seem to be a link).
