48V1KW Q12 Rear Motor E-Bike Kit Without Battery - BMSBATTERY

48V 10Ah Li-Ion Alloy Shell EBike Battery Pack - BMSBATTERY

The whole kit delivered to UK £420

I would recommend buying the 15 AH battery not the 10AH bit more money but longer range

Its not in stock but email them asking when they will be in

Hi Lee

I'm not sure what you're looking for in an ebike but you use the word interesting where I'd use the word expensive.

Frank's kit is £1125 delivered but you could buy a brand new, purpose-built 50cc or 125cc moped for £700 or less and with the spare cash you'd save, you could pick up a really top-class second-hand ebike with a well-respected name on the frame.

There are plenty of lightweight motor-cycles available for not a lot of money which will be far quicker than a 1500W ebike if it's speed or thrills you're after. Equally, there are some really decent ebikes around now which some of our members here can testify will do most of the things that people want in an electric bike. See some of the recent posts in regard to such as Tonaro or Kudos, not forgetting the well-regarded bikes from the likes of JuicyBike and others. A grand can buy you a really good, integrated ebike with first-class back-up and warranty.

I'm sure the stuff Frank does is well put together but one of the most highly regarded ebike suppliers and member of this forum, Wisper bikes, in the form of David Miall, has just recently begun marketing the long-awaited Daahub kit which Eddieo, another member here, has purchased and cannot, it seems, speak highly enough of. According to most, Wisper provides warranty and back-up second to none but there are others I'd encourage you to consider. Cyclezee, for example, has recently begun providing Ezee kits and quite a few members here have nothing but good things to say about the Ezee product.

What I'm trying to get across is, the choice is endless now and if you're prepared to consider paying over £1100 for a kit or a bike, just be aware that for that kind of money, there are loads of suppliers who would love to have your business.

I shall be interested to hear what you decide to purchase and what swayed you when the time comes. In the meantime, happy hunting.

Regards,
Indalo

Thanks for your reply.

I don't want a moped as i'll need tax and insurance, plus would be rubbish going through a woods and not to mention i'd have the police after me.

Good thing about an e-bike is that i can ride through woods/off road without making lots of noise and still pedal to try and get fit.

I don't want to buy a ready built e-bike as i already have a decent hard-tail which i love and i want to install it myself as i enjoy that part of it too.

I really want a conversion kit that would take me to around the 30mph mark. It would be nice if it had the capability to put it onto street mode for UK law. Also I'm only after the battery doing 10 to 15mile per charge, more would be better but not essential.

I do like the look of Ezee kits but they are to slow for me and the same it seems is the Daahub kit until the Extreem comes out that is, but that's not out till next year and doubt i can wait that long.

Decisions, decisions, decisions.

The first few daaHubs are out with customers now, everyone seems to love them although we have had to make a couple more tweaks which has delayed the main delivery again.

They will be available at the end of August.

All the best

I've already looked into Alien kits, unfortunately they only do a 700c and i need a 26".
Shame would have been just what i'm looking for.

Looks like i might have to import, don't really want too but it seems that there is not a lot of 1000w kits in the UK at the moment. :(
