Hello all again.

the electric wheel company offers two types of throttle - a twist grip or thumb throttle.

Can anyone advise of the pros and cons of each? which is more comfortable?

thanks again

Hi me again :p

I have a thumb throttle which I prefer as I can let it go. With a grip throttle unless it is split in two, I think it would be easy to blib it when you don't want it.

That said I have also fitted cut out brakes that cut the power the minute you brake. I don't think these come on either the Freedom E or EWC kits.

Others also prefer a pedelec setup. Check out Dan's post on his Brompton DIY project. Its linked from my posts I gave you the other day. I am sure others will comment.

So what did EWC say re batteries and costs ?

Regards

Jerry

Just like Jerry, I think that a thumb throttle is better, especially for the Brompton (more discrete than a big chunky twist handle). I too fitted cutout brakes...they are damn useful ! :)
Cheers, Dan
