They are actually a soldered conector and look like a very good idea, used correctly they will handle the current

None of the wireing on your bike should have "high levels of heat" if your wireing is getting hot whilst riding, you may have other issues.

Nothing beats a good solder joint.

Try some and let us know, for battery wiring use blue and yellow only.
How good they are depends on whether they survive a good tug test.

Not a bad idea, but not for people that don't know about soldering. I can imagine all sorts of problems if not done correctly. You need to be able to understand and recognise what a good joint looks like.

In summary, I'd use them except for the cost, but I don't think that they're an alternative for people that can't solder.

Hi Nealh, can you explain why the blue/yellow are best for battery wiring, is it because due to size and nothing else?

It's perceiving there amp rating capability as no rating is given.
The blue is for 14/16 gauge wire, 16 awg is rated for about 22a and 14/32a.
Don't be tempted to use a smaller colour joint for larger wire as the amp rating will be lower and less solder in the joint will mean a less secure solder join.

Thanks Nealh, good explanation which is clearly understood.

I think that you have to leave this job for a specialist in this domain. When I have some problems with wiring at home, in my car, sportbike, etc I'm calling electrician contractors because they really know very well their job and sometimes when you want to make some economy of money, finally, you will pay more. Also, the electricity(wiring) is dangerous for a person who doesn't know properly about it. So, think about it well.

This connection method is OK, not ideal, for low current carrying connections, for example sensor wiring, it's not suitable for high current carrying connections onto the battery, motor or controller.
