Not A Wisper?

Does anyone know why Wisper does not get a rating in the AtoB Buyers' Guide? Could it be they have not tested one?

I think that is the reason. In the early days of Wisper they said that AtoB were too busy to do a test. Obviously there has been plenty of time since then. You would have thought that it would have been in Wisper's interests to keep offering AtoB a test bike.

as a subscriber to A to B I too find it strange in the extreme that they devote magazine space to some obscure Chinese parts bin model in the current edition; a bike which no one's ever heard of as far as I can see, and which is not going to sell in any numbers, and yet for whatever reason they consistently ignore one of the market leaders aka Wisper. Surely they too have a responsibility to try and cover the market and not simply wait for importers to importune them?

I've no idea whether it is AtoB that is unwilling to test a Wisper, or whether Wisper are unwilling to submit a bike for test. It would be interesting if either party could enlighten us. Maybe something to take up with them after Christmas.

A to B are willing to test one but as is normal practice, they wait for suppliers to offer products for review. Wisper had plans to submit a 905se as soon as the upgrade program was completed with all the modifications included but at the time all the bikes were sold before arrival. I understand that current sales are also at record levels with Wisper delighted with last months figures and further supplies are awaited, so it's understandable that a sample hasn't yet been sent to A to B. When everything made is shifting all the time and there's been the odd shortage, plus there are so many favourable reports from members about their 905se bikes, the need for review is lessened.

Wisper did offer me one for test some while ago but at the time I refused the offer since as a general rule I don't normally review bikes. I've since refused an opportunity to review and test the Kalkhoff Pro Connect for the same reason. The exception I made with the Kalkhoff Agattu was because I considered it the first true replacement for the Giant Lafree Twist series for which I'd long run a support website, the review being for that site where it still appears.

Thanks for that explanation flecc. Its good to have the chance to read owner's opinions, but it would still be interesting to see an AtoB test report when it becomes possible. It is probably easier to draw comparisons with other bikes from a similar format of test by the same reviewer. Seasons Greetings and Best Wishes to all forum members and readers.
