Just had this retro fitted to my Cube Hybrid 160 , does the module have to be attached to the bike ( and powered )for the GPS Navigation to be active ? Ive not attached it yet for a ride . the unit is currently showing the satellite logo with a line through it . I cant attach the unit till mid week . Its brand new. Thank you .

Not sure about the Nyon, but many GPS devices won't work well inside. That could be your problem. If its not too cold/windy/rainy try it outside well clear of the house. Pointing it in different directions can help too.

GPS can also be problematical in fog or tree cover ... exactly when you need it most hiking.

I have downloaded the UK maps and the nav page shows my location but the sat symbol is crossed out and greyed out and when i put a destination in it just searches and searches to no avail as if it has no GPS

i doubt if it will work off the bike as will need the motor to link with it and enable all the features when connected to the motor and controller.

Also quite a few GPS remember last fix and can refix reasonably close much quicker. The very first fix can take much longer if conditions aren't right.
