Is there any way to [responsibly] recycle or just discard spent battery packs ? I have a couple of chunky lead acid affairs from my old Tornado and also my Torq 1's old Li on which are now totaly useless and need disposing.Does any retailer /manufacture provide such a service ? Cheers .

My local refuse / dump(!) recycles batteries, maybe yours does as well?

Ditto in my area, the council recycling depots have twin facilities, one bin for car batteries which is where your old lead acid batteries should go, and one bin for household batteries.

I clearly stick-on label old Li-ions etc "Lithium battery" to avoid accidents for anyone and then put them in the household batteries bin.

Also here in Northumberland, there are points for most things. Our binmen have been known to take them on recycle bin day.

Wow
that is a service. In my part of Surrey the binmen don't appear to like to take anything.Since recycling commenced the litter has multiplied readily .On rubbish day paper and cans aplenty strewn in all directions-bins and boxes left in roads etc. With this half hearted recycling response and the appalling state of the roads I wonder what the local council does with its [excessive] taxes !!!
