Trade It Guernsey

Hi,

Someone is selling what looks like an old crank drive Giant bike, I can't seem to find any info on this. Does anyone know where I might find the tech specs on this bike???

Cheers,
Lee

It's the Giant Lafree Twist Lee, a series made from 2001 to 2006. At that time it was widely rated as the best electric bike in the world. It uses the original Panasonic power unit with an NiMh battery and is a pedelec, no throttle, with Nexus 3 speed hub gear.

Batteries are still available at around £300, but there are no spares for the power unit since they've always been repair by unit replacement, the unit costing £500 at last known price.

If it's working, that's a good buy.

You can look at the history on my website on this link
