Opportunist charging for short periods

Consider this scenario:

I am planning a 26-27 mile run, although my bikes battery is supposed to be able to handle it, its near the limit of its range.

Enroute (about 7 miles into the journey), I have access to a building with a 230v mains supply. But I don't want to delay my journey by more than 20-30 minutes.

Is it worth me "topping up" the charge on the bike for just this half hour, so I don't "run out of fuel" halfway along the B1113?

Basically a battery drops the amount of charge it accepts over a given period as it nears full, but once an appreciable amount of charge has been used, it should top up at a good rate. As long as you are using a fair amount of current in that first 7 miles, it will be worth topping up for 30 minutes.
