Took a look on Eclipse Bikes website early this morning, and saw that they had stocks of the Bafang kits back in.
Looked again this afternoon, and it appears that all the 36v 500w and 48v 750w kits have gone already.

I'm sure they had 30 plus of the 750w and at least 10 of the 500w when I checked earlier. Might be wrong though.

Surely these haven't all gone already :(

I bought a battery from them today but had to wait till mid afternoon before site showed back in stock, have an email saying battery dispatched tonight, they may not have fully updated all stock levels yet.

Will have to wait and see. I definitely saw a number of units in stock, although it was 4 in the morning, so I might have half dreamt it lol

Aha, a message has mysteriously appeared on the website, which explains the reason behind the sudden drop in stock showing:

Stock levels will be increased in the next few days once back orders have been processed

I'm one of the back order people, waiting for a 750w BBS02, getting excited to start the build at the weekend now (if its here in time!), my batteries just turned up frm hobbyking 20 mins ago, so almost there :)

Which batteries did you end up going for?

I ended up going for 4 x 4s Turnigy 8000mah multistar batteries, I'm going to dissasemble one of them and add one cell to 1 of the other 3 packs to make a 5s pack which when added to the other 2 x 4s packs gives me a 13s pack and then they are capable of putting out 48v at 80amps constant, so should be more than sufficient for my initial cycling needs, and if i want more range, i will just buy another 3 x 4s battery packs to make a 48v 16,000mah pack capable of putting out 160amps constantly ! and i still have half a disassembled pack spare in case i have and cell issues in the future

Sorry :( didnt mean it that way, and Eclipse just emailed me to say that they came in with the wrong programming and dont have the throttle only option pre set, but rather than wait another 1+ week for delivery, i've opted to take it as it is, so will have to pedal all the time, but at least it will stop me being lazy !

You could always make or buy a programming cable and set the controller for the throttle only option yourself ;)

Still showing ' Stock levels will be increased in the next few days once back orders have been processed ', on the 36v 500w and 48v 750w kits.
One member had ordered one of the new kits, but got a message from Eclipse that the new stock hadn't been programmed correctly.

So maybe they're programming the kits themselves, or have sent them back to be reprogrammed.
Two of my e-mails to them disappeared into the ether, so who knows?

They are getting a programming cable themselves to reprogramme the kits before sending them out, I was impatient to get mine and get riding ! so got it with factory settings and i dont regret it, throttle works and pedal assist works too so i'm happy, just cant use the throttle in pas mode 0, thats the only downside that i can see
