Panda Swift Kit

Has anyone had experience of the Panda Swift kit with the battery in the handlebar bag & thumb throttle? I was interested in what the motor drag is like without power & how simple to install the kit is for a beginner to these things. Thanks.

There is no noticeable drag with a geared hub motor. It may be sticky the first few km but once it is "run in" you will only notice the extra weight.

Very easy to install on steel forks, aluminium forks require a torque arm.

Thanks anotherkiwi. Thinking of treating myself to a new bike in the New Year. Looking at the Tokyobike with 26" wheels. These days prefer a step through frame & something which is simple & lightweight. Have given up with trying to convert my old Raleigh - just too many problems with wheel size, frame etc. Will keep it as my runaround.
