pedelec battery choice

Hi I am new to this site, found it by searching for battery replacement. Anyway I own a Kalkoff proconnect with the original 26v 10ah battery which has now come to the end of it's life and I have seen on ebay, batteries for £239.00 with bigger amps/volts and was wondering if these will be suitable. The 50cycles site are asking best part of £600.00 which frankly I am not prepared to pay as I can get a front wheel conversion for £250.00 locally.
Any help/ suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Mark Williams

A few people have bought them without problems. Maybe they do or don't last as long as the originals, but they should last at least three years, which is not bad for a couple of hundred quid.

Had a similar problem last year. Bought a 24Ah Derby cycles battery from Germany. If it loses a proportion of its capacity each year, it should still be useful after 3 or 4 years. 18Ah for 325 Euros, not such a good deal since the devaluation though...
