Planning to buy battery. Not sure how to install it.

Hello everyone,

I'm not really sure how to install it on my bike: https://www.e-bikesdirect.co.uk/brands/viking/viking-advance-electric-mountain-bike-grey

Do I need to buy anything extra? How do I work out what I need and how to do it.

You can't use that type of Bosch battery. It's only compatible with Bosch equipment and it also needs the Bosch mounting system. The battery communicates with the rest of the Bosch electronics in order to switch on and give power.

The good news is that you can almost certainly buy a battery with just as big capacity for MUCH less. I'm afraid I'm not competent to suggest which battery; someone who know should be along soon.

It might help if you post any information in labels on the current battery, and photos of the battery holder, and the connection points (on the battery and on the holder).
