This is being sold without battery, seller bought it from a friend, but doesn't or can't explain why the battery is missing?

No, I asked for proof of ownership, what hapened to the battery and was the charger included. The reply I got said "we only have the keys".

You can draw your own conclusions from that.

Not another dodgy bike on ebay and with the recession digging deep maybe they steal to order and any change of an Optibike 850R with battery

Hi all,

I already had an enquiry about this bike listed on Ebay. I really doubt the offered bike is the 2011 model. If the bike has been registered when it was purchased we will have the details as to whom it belongs to so can easily check if the owner hasn't had this stolen.

Whoever fancy that I would check the frame number (under bottom bracket) and get in touch first before you put down your hard earned cash.

Really people selling high value ebikes like this on eBay should list the serial number so genuine ownership can be verified with the manufacturer before people risk wasting money and time buying stolen bikes.. eBay has a responsibility here I think to ask for that info from sellers..just my 2 cents worth.
