does anyone know what the exact dimensions of these are and where to get them from? I just had my Salisbury serviced and there was a broken spoke on the rear wheel (apparently it had been like that for some time) - the LBS were unable to immediately source a replacement and said that "they did occasionally use them but they are a non standard size and hard to obtain". Certainly the nipples need a different (larger) key to the normal MTB?

The LBS managed to realign the wheel (now with 35 spokes) and said they would call me when they had obtained a stock of spokes, but it does concern me that I (and other e-bikers) will run into this same problem repeatedly as the spokes are understandably larger for the rear wheels.

Can anyone advise what these spokes are and where to obtain them from? Are they sold with the nipples or are these purchased separately, and what sort of spoke key do they need?

I have emailed Powacycle but not had a response yet.

Alex,
I have been trying to find a spoke key for my powabyke and that is 3.96mm the best i could find was a park blue spoke chain on chain reaction cycles maybe yours are the same ( I did get one with 8 slots on and none of those fitted). Below is the one i got (hope posting links is okay)

Park Tool Spoke Wrench | Buy Online | ChainReactionCycles.com

no connection etc.

(It did take three attempts though to get the right size and on first use i broke a spoke  !)

I've always used these British made 14 gauge spokes from SJS on hub motor wheels and the like Alex. They are thicker than the commonly found 15 gauge but your Powacycle may use 13 gauge. I wouldn't worry about that though, the 14 gauge have never let me down even when mixed with existing 13 gauge ones. Just measure the length of yours and order from the drop down list.

Nipples are supplied with spokes, in packs of six of each:

got through to ETS and they said the rear spokes are 200mm 14 gauge.

Have got some arriving tomorrow - the next question is which spoke key is the correct one to get?
