hi all.have a powatryke with a 200w motor.also have a ezee rider electric bike.i would like to put a 250w motor like the one in the ezee in the tryke,will i have to change the controler to.anybody know how much the motor is.or just change the controler in the tryke.i changed the 180w motor for a 200w it cuts out at 12mph. john

I think the Tryke does run at below the 15 mph normal limit, due to it's standard Powerbyke motor being in the smaller Tryke wheel, and that varies whether it's the 24" wheel or 20" wheel model.

It's always best to keep controllers and motors together, substitutes can often bring problems. Despite it's similar lead acid battery etc, I'm fairly sure the eZee Rider has a 5 Hall wire motor, 8 wires in all, while the Tryke probably has the usual Powerbyke three wire system. The controllers for these are not interchangeable
