By way of a try-out to see if The Lady Wife and I got on with pedelecs, I bought a s/h Kalkhoff Agattu last month. I now need to find a new home for it PDQ (new one coming).

It was new from 50 Cycles in Jan 2011, so I'm guessing it's a 2010 model, crossbar, 57cm frame, 8-speed Nexus, dynamo lighting. AFAIK, the only deviation from standard is the "puncture-resistant" tyres and the wide-arse gel saddle. It has no known faults.

Two questions for you guys. One is how to describe the battery condition? It shows all lights when fully charged, then they go out, but I've no idea what the range is because I've never run it to flat. It seems to be more than 15-20 miles of moderately hilly cycling, but I'm not sure what it should be. What's a meaningful way of describing battery condition?

And finally, what sort of price might I reasonably expect? I know what I paid, but I probably paid dear ...

I've previously posted a realistic way of pricing s/h e-bikes, dealing with the battery separately since the battery and bike lives are so different. I don't know what you paid for the bike, but if you remove the current battery cost (which you'll find here) from that, then deduct 25% of what's left, finally adding back half the battery price as it's one year old, you'll have a guide result.

Here's the link to my S/H guide price thread

Thank you once again, kind Sir. That's very helpful.

So is the best way to describe battery condition just to say that it charges as it should, holds a charge, and I can get more than 15 miles out of it - or is that actually meaningless?

I don't think you need to say even that, figures are somewhat meaningless for different riders. The record of these batteries is that they are going past the two year point still performing well, consistent with their two year warranty. So with half the battery price discounted, the buyer can be assured of fair value and good life to come from this one year old.
